The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) expects to post a Request for Funding Applications (RFA) later this spring for school-based health centers (SBHCs) to improve access to behavioral health care.
The behavioral health SBHC grant program will award $720,000 in grants to SBHCs in Washington to add, improve, or expand behavioral health care services for K-12 students in public schools. This program is in addition to the DOH’s general SBHC RFA, which closes April 15, 2022, and provides funding to plan, start-up, or operate/expand/improve an SBHC. **Please note that this opportunity is also separate and distinct from any King County-specific RFAs supporting SBHCs.**
DOH is working with key partners, including the Washington School-Based Health Alliance, to define the behavioral health grant funding criteria and RFA. They will share more information soon. In the meantime, you can learn more about the DOH grant opportunities on their WA Portal page.
Please share this upcoming opportunity with your networks.
