Register for the Best Starts for Kids 2021 Summit!

Greetings from Best Starts for Kids! We are excited to announce the 2nd annual Best Starts for Kids Virtual Summit 2021. The summit will take place the last week of April—the 27th through 30th with a special preview day on April 26th.  This year’s theme is “We build. We rise. We Soar.”  Like the 2020 virtual BSK summit, 2021 will open up opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and networking. Also, Best Starts 2.0 is on the horizon and you will learn more about that as well.  We’ve also added a Youth Track this year.

HOW TO REGISTER

You can register for the 2021 BSK Summit via EventBrite using the following REGISTRATION LINK.  One important tip: use the same email to register for the summit that you plan to use while attending the summit. We are hosting again through Whova.com so if you can use the same email address you used last year, Whova.com will recognize you and there should (fingers crossed) be no need for you to recreate your Whova.com profile. It will recognize you.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

The Best Starts for Kids 2021 Summit is open to anyone in King County who serves or works with young people, families, babies, children, and youth in our region.  You can participate as an attendee and/or as a breakout session host.  You will have 18 amazing organizations and partners who will be presenting — including 6 youth-inspired/partnered/led sessions.  We are still working on the schedule, but you can click HERE to see the current list of orgs that will present this year.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

We are honored to have Executive Dow Constantine as our opening session keynote speaker on April 27th.  Executive Constantine’s vision for BSK now and moving forward has been instrumental to the success of the initiative.  It will be great to hear his vision for the future of Best Starts. Also, you will have a chance to listen to inspire youth speaker Olu Dixon (mid-week) and community activist Rashad Norris (closing).

Stay tuned to our Best Start Blog, Facebook page, Twitter and newsletter for more information as we draw closer to the summit date. Also please email us at bsksummit@kingcounty.gov if you have any questions.

Thank you! We look forward to hosting you in April.
