
Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) and Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee (OIRA) are partnering to host training sessions to share more information about the COVID-19 vaccine. This is not just for immigrant and refugee community members, anyone interested in helping outreach accurate vaccine information to vulnerable communities is welcome.
The first session will be hosted on Wednesday, February 17th (2/17) from 5:00-7:00 pm in English.
The second session will be hosted on Thursday, February 25th (2/25) from 5:00-7:00 pm in Spanish.
Topics will include:
- Vaccine ingredients, potential side effects, and the importance of getting it
- Overall vaccine distribution and community outreach plan
- Sources for factual COVID-19 information, as well as translated materials
- Live Q&A
These sessions will be recorded and shared online on OIRA’s YouTube channel. There are plans to present in other languages at a later date.
