According to the 2015 YRBS, 10% of US high school students who reported being in a relationship had experienced physical violence at the hands of their partner within the last year. When I was doing my DV research this popped up and i’m so glad! My first relationship was extremely abusive. It definitely shaped how I viewed men and relationships for the rest of my life.
